Residents in our independent and assisted living units enjoy the privacy of their own carpeted and furnished rooms. Wedgewood offers a variety of room options including private room and bath or a suite, which has a bedroom, bathroom and living room. Residents in these levels of care must be ambulatory, able to transfer independently and able to evacuate the facility in the event of an emergency. Each resident is provided with three nutritious meals a day, housekeeping services twice a week, emergency call system in the bedroom and bathroom, licensed nurse on duty 24 hours a day, and social/recreational programs.

Structured
Living
Structured living is a unique unit designed for residents
with memory impairment and related disorders. Residents receive home
like accommodations, which include a bird aviary, fish aquarium, on
unit dining, daily assistance with dressing & bathing, toileting
assistance, medications, administered by a licensed nurse, daily housekeeping
and laundry services.
Structured living provides an activity program that is
geared to their memory impairm ents
and includes small group activities, one on one visits and outings in
the community. The unit has keypads on all doorways and the wander guard
system for those residents who need a little extra monitoring.
Intermediate
Care
Each resident is provided with quality nursing care in a homelike environment.
The residents are encouraged to personalize their rooms with pictures,
lamps, and other familiar items from home. A resident in the nursing
center receives care from the nursing staff which are on duty 24 hours
a day, total assistance with activities of daily living such as dressing/bathing/toileting,
medications administration by licensed nurse, daily housekeeping and
laundry services, emergency call system, on unit activity program which
include one-on-one visits.
The residents in the skilled care unit meet criteria requiring daily
skilled nursing or rehabilitation services. This could include but not
limited to physical and occupational therapy, wound care, feeding tube,
IV antibiotics, etc. Skilled care services are usually covered by Medicare
or a Medicare HMO, Healthsprings. The residents on this unit receive
twenty-four hour nursing care, assistance with activities of daily living,
and medications administration.
